Baccarat Principles

Punto banco is gambled on with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under ten are valued at their printed value while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Bets are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for every hand is the total of the cards, however the 1st number is ignored. e.g., a hand of 5 and six has a score of one (five plus six = eleven; ignore the first ‘one’).

A additional card may be dealt based on the rules below:

- If the gambler or house has a value of eight or nine, the two players hold.

- If the player has 5 or less, she takes a card. Players otherwise stay.

- If the gambler stays, the bank takes a card on five or less. If the gambler takes a card, a chart is employed to see if the banker stands or takes a card.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the house pay out 19:20 (equal money minus a five percent rake. Commission are recorded and paid off when you leave the table so ensure you have cash left over before you quit). Winning bets on the gambler pays out at 1:1. Winning bets for a tie frequently pays out at 8 to 1 but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a bad wager as a tie occurs lower than 1 in every 10 hands. Avoid wagering on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for 9:1 vs. 8:1)

Wagered on properly punto banco gives pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Banque Scheme

As with all games punto banco has a handful of accepted myths. One of which is similar to a myth in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of events about to happen. Recording previous results on a page of paper is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and possibly the most favorable strategy is the 1-3-2-6 method. This technique is deployed to build up winnings and limit losses.

Start by placing 1 unit. If you win, add another to the two on the game table for a sum of three chips on the second bet. If you succeed you will hold 6 on the game table, take away 4 so you keep two on the 3rd round. If you win the third wager, deposit 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th bet.

Should you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the first round followed by a loss on the 2nd brings about a hit of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a profit of 2. And success on the initial 3 with a hit on the fourth means you are even. Winning at all four rounds leaves you with 12, a gain of ten. This means you are able to not win on the second bet 5 times for each successful streak of four bets and in the end, experience no loss.
