Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards with less than a value of ten are give a value of their printed value and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they merely act as the 2 hands to be given out).

Two hands of two cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for every hand will be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of 7 and 5 results in a score of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card may be given out depending on the foll. practices:

- If the player or banker has a total of eight or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores will be the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have funds still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie commonly pay 8 to 1 and sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a bad gamble as ties will occur less than one every 10 hands. abstain from betting on a tie. Nevertheless odds are richly better – 9 to one vs. 8 to one)

When played accurately, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with every games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. 1 of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way a predictor of future results. Staying abreast of old results on a chart is a total waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and probably most successful technique is the 1-3-two-6 method. This process is employed to increase successes and lowering risk.

start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
