Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued less than 10 are said to be worth their printed number meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they only symbolize the two hands to be played).
2 hands of 2 cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for any hand is the sum of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of 7 … 5 results in a tally of 2 (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card may be given out depending on the foll. guidelines:
- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or nine, the two bettors stand.
- If the gambler has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart might be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even odds less a five % commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have money left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie by and large pay out 8 to one and sometimes nine to one. (This is a crazy gamble as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try putting money on a tie. Even so odds are far better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)
When done effectively, baccarat presents fairly decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with many games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. 1 of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is surely not an indicator of future happenings. The most commonly used and probably most successful technique is the one-3-two-6 concept. This plan is used to magnify successes and lowering risk.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
