Punto Banco Rules and Strategy
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Rules
Baccarat banque is wagered on with eight decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards under ten are valued at face value and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they simply represent the two hands that are dealt).
Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘gambler’. The total for every hand is the sum total of the cards, although the first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of 5 and 6 has a value of 1 (5 plus 6 equals eleven; dump the first ‘one’).
A 3rd card may be dealt using the rules below:
- If the gambler or house achieves a value of 8 or nine, the two players stay.
- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. Players otherwise stay.
- If the player holds, the banker takes a card on a total lower than 5. If the player takes a card, a table is employed to see if the house stands or takes a card.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Odds
The better of the two scores wins. Winning wagers on the bank payout 19:20 (even money minus a 5% rake. The Rake is tracked and cleared out once you depart the table so ensure you still have cash around just before you leave). Winning bets on the player pays out at 1 to 1. Winning wagers for tie frequently pays eight to one but occasionally 9:1. (This is a awful bet as ties occur lower than 1 in every 10 rounds. Be wary of gambling on a tie. Although odds are substantially better for 9 to 1 versus 8 to 1)
Gambled on properly baccarat chemin de fer provides pretty good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Banque Method
As with all games Baccarat has a handful of established myths. One of which is the same as a myth in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of future outcomes. Tracking previous outcomes on a page of paper is a waste of paper and an affront to the tree that gave its life for our paper needs.
The most familiar and probably the most acknowledged plan is the one, three, two, six method. This technique is used to maximize profits and minimizing losses.
Begin by betting 1 chip. If you succeed, add another to the two on the game table for a sum total of 3 chips on the second bet. Should you succeed you will now have six on the table, pull off 4 so you are left with two on the 3rd bet. If you succeed on the 3rd bet, put down two to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th round.
Should you don’t win on the first wager, you take a hit of one. A win on the initial bet followed by a hit on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Success on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a profit of two. And success on the first 3 with a hit on the 4th means you experience no loss. Winning all four bets leaves you with 12, a gain of 10. This means you will be able to lose the 2nd bet five times for each favorable run of 4 bets and still balance the books.
