Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat chemin de fer is gambled on with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than ten are counted at their printed number while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not really people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘gambler’. The value for each hand is the sum of the cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For instance, a hand of 5 and six has a total of one (5 plus six equals eleven; ignore the 1st ‘one’).

A 3rd card might be dealt using the rules below:

- If the player or banker has a total of 8 or nine, the two players hold.

- If the player has less than five, he hits. Players otherwise stand.

- If the player stays, the banker takes a card on 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a table is used to determine if the house stays or takes a card.

Punto Banco Odds

The higher of the 2 totals wins. Winning bets on the bank pay out 19:20 (equal money minus a five percent rake. The Rake is recorded and paid off when you leave the table so be sure to still have funds left over just before you leave). Winning wagers on the gambler pays one to one. Winning wagers for a tie typically pay 8 to 1 but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a poor bet as a tie occurs lower than 1 in every 10 rounds. Avoid betting on a tie. Although odds are substantially better for 9:1 versus 8 to 1)

Bet on properly baccarat chemin de fer offers generally decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Banque Method

As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has a few established myths. One of which is similar to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not a harbinger of events yet to happen. Recording previous outcomes at a table is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary desires.

The most accepted and definitely the most acknowledged plan is the one, three, two, six technique. This tactic is used to maximize earnings and limit risk.

Start by betting 1 unit. If you succeed, add one more to the 2 on the game table for a sum of 3 units on the second bet. Should you win you will retain 6 on the game table, pull off 4 so you are left with 2 on the third bet. Should you come away with a win on the 3rd round, add two on the four on the game table for a total of six on the fourth round.

If you do not win on the initial bet, you take a hit of one. A win on the 1st wager followed by a loss on the second creates a hit of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th means you experience no loss. Winning at all 4 wagers leaves you with 12, a gain of ten. This means you can not win on the second round 5 times for each favorable streak of 4 bets and in the end, are even.
