Baccarat Rules

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards valued less than ten are counted at their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they purely symbolize the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for any hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is removed. For example, a hand of 7 … five gives a value of 2 (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card could be given depending on the foll. rules:

- If the bettor or banker has a total of 8 or nine, both bettors stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the player hits, a chart is used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so make sure that you have dollars left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie customarily pays 8 to one but occasionally nine to 1. (This is an awful gamble as ties will happen less than 1 every 10 hands. Stay away from putting money on a tie. However odds are greatly better – nine to 1 vs. eight to 1)

When played smartly, baccarat provides pretty decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with many games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. One of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is never actually an indicator of future outcomes. Keeping track of past conclusions on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and possibly most successful technique is the 1-three-two-6 scheme. This schema is deployed to boost winnings and controlling risk.

start by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. This means that you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
