Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are counted at their printed number and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they simply represent the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand will be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five results in a value of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card can be given depending on the following regulations:

- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or nine, both bettors stand.

- If the player has five or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart is used to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning stakes on the banker pay at 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have money remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie typically pays 8 to 1 but occasionally nine to one. (This is not a good gamble as ties will occur less than one every ten hands. be cautious of placing bets on a tie. Still, odds are positively better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to one)

When done correctly, baccarat presents generally good odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some established myths. 1 of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is surely not an indicator of future results. The most accepted and possibly most successful strategy is the one-3-2-6 technique. This method is employed to pump up wins and reducing risk.

And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Thus you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
