Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are counted at their printed number and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they simply represent the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand will be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five results in a value of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card can be given depending on the following regulations:

- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or nine, both bettors stand.

- If the player has five or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart is used to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning stakes on the banker pay at 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have money remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie typically pays 8 to 1 but occasionally nine to one. (This is not a good gamble as ties will occur less than one every ten hands. be cautious of placing bets on a tie. Still, odds are positively better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to one)

When done correctly, baccarat presents generally good odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some established myths. 1 of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is surely not an indicator of future results. Staying abreast of old results on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and possibly most successful strategy is the one-3-2-6 technique. This method is employed to pump up wins and reducing risk.

start by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the third wager. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Thus you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
