Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below a value of ten are counted at face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they simply depict the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for any hand shall be the grand total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For example, a hand of 7 and 5 results in a tally of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card can be given out depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, each bettors stand.

- If the player has 5 or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart might be used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning stakes on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even odds minus a 5 percent commission. Baccarat Strategy
