Baccarat Policies and Strategy
Punto Banco Policies
Baccarat chemin de fer is gambled on with 8 decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards valued less than ten are valued at their printed number while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not really people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The value for every hand is the total of the cards, but the first number is dumped. For instance, a hand of 5 and six has a score of 1 (five plus six = eleven; dump the 1st ‘one’).
A 3rd card may be given out depending on the rules below:
- If the gambler or banker has a value of 8 or 9, the two players hold.
- If the player has less than five, she takes a card. Players otherwise stay.
- If the gambler stands, the house hits on five or lower. If the player hits, a table is employed to figure out if the house holds or hits.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Odds
The bigger of the 2 hands wins. Winning bets on the bank pay out 19:20 (equal money less a 5% rake. The Rake is kept track of and cleared out once you leave the game so be sure to have money remaining before you leave). Winning wagers on the gambler pays one to one. Winning bets for tie normally pays eight to one but on occasion 9:1. (This is a poor wager as a tie occurs lower than one in every 10 hands. Be cautious of betting on a tie. Although odds are substantially better for 9 to 1 vs. 8:1)
Played correctly punto banco provides pretty decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Punto Banco Strategy
As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has some accepted misunderstandings. One of which is close to a misconception in roulette. The past isn’t a fore-teller of events yet to happen. Keeping score of past results at a table is a poor use of paper and an affront to the tree that gave its life for our paper desires.
The most common and possibly the most accomplished method is the one, three, two, six method. This tactic is employed to maximize earnings and limit losses.
Begin by betting one dollar. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the game table for a total of 3 units on the second bet. If you win you will retain six on the table, remove 4 so you keep 2 on the 3rd round. Should you succeed on the third wager, add 2 on the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth round.
If you do not win on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st round followed by a hit on the second brings about a hit of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a profit of 2. And success on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th means you balance the books. Succeeding at all 4 rounds leaves you with twelve, a gain of 10. This means you will be able to not win on the second bet five times for each successful streak of 4 rounds and still break even.
