Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards that are valued under ten are give a value of their printed number while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they merely depict the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for any hand shall be the sum of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of seven … five will have a total score of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card can be given out depending on the following practices:

- If the gambler or banker has a score of 8 or 9, the two gamblers stand.

- If the player has 5 or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart is used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have funds left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie generally pays out at eight to one and occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a crazy bet as ties will happen lower than 1 every ten hands. Avoid laying money on a tie. Even so odds are richly better – nine to one vs. 8 to 1)

Played effectively, baccarat presents fairly decent odds, away from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some common myths. 1 of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future outcomes. Keeping track of prior conclusions on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and probably most successful technique is the one-3-two-six concept. This plan is deployed to pump up payout and cutting back risk.

start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th gamble.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
