Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are valued under ten are valued at their printed value whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they purely represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
2 hands of two cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of 7 and 5 produces a total of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).
A third card may be dealt depending on the foll. codes:
- If the player or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, then both players stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to determine if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the two scores will be the winner. Victorious bets on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have dollars left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie normally pays eight to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is not a good gamble as ties will happen less than one every 10 hands. Stay away from laying money on a tie. Still, odds are greatly better – nine to one vs. eight to 1)
When done effectively, baccarat presents generally good odds, away from the tie wager obviously.
Baccarat Strategy
As with every games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually a predictor of future happenings. Keeping track of old conclusions on a chart is a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most commonly used and feasibly most successful technique is the 1-3-two-six concept. This method is used to amplify wins and reducing risk.
Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
