Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards under 10 are said to be at face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they merely appear as the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for each hand is the total of the two cards, but the initial digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 and 5 results in a value of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card can be played depending on the foll. practices:

- If the gambler or banker has a value of eight or nine, both bettors stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart is used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Successful wagers on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even money less a five % commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have money left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie customarily pays 8 to one and occasionally 9 to one. (This is not a good wager as ties will occur lower than one every 10 hands. abstain from wagering on a tie. Regardless odds are decidedly better – nine to 1 vs. eight to 1)

When played properly, baccarat offers generally good odds, away from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with every games, Baccarat has some common myths. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is not a predictor of future results. Tracking of prior conclusions on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and possibly most successful tactic is the one-3-2-six method. This method is employed to increase profits and minimizing risk.

commence by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the third bet, add two to the 4 on the table for a value of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
