Baccarat Rules
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards with less than a value of ten are of their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they simply symbolize the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards will then be given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for every hand will be the sum of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven … 5 has a tally of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).
A third card could be dealt depending on the following guidelines:
- If the player or banker has a tally of eight or nine, the two gamblers stand.
- If the bettor has five or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the player hits, a chart will be used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the two scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you have $$$$$ left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie usually pays eight to 1 and on occasion nine to 1. (This is a crazy wager as ties happen less than 1 every ten hands. Stay away from laying money on a tie. Even so odds are generously better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)
When played smartly, baccarat presents pretty good odds, apart from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. 1 of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is not a predictor of future happenings. Keeping track of historic outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and possibly most successful tactic is the one-three-2-six concept. This method is deployed to amplify successes and cutting back risk.
Begin by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th wager.
If you lose on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
