Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than ten are valued at their printed value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they strictly portray the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand shall be the sum of the two cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven … five gives a tally of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card may be given out depending on the foll. standards:

- If the gambler or banker has a value of eight or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart might be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores wins. Victorious stakes on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have cash left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie by and large pay out eight to 1 but on occasion 9 to one. (This is a bad wager as ties happen lower than one every 10 hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. Even so odds are vastly better – nine to one vs. eight to 1)

Played properly, baccarat provides relatively decent odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. 1 of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is not an indicator of future results. Staying abreast of past results on a chart is definitely a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and almost certainly most successful method is the one-three-two-six scheme. This schema is deployed to accentuate wins and controlling risk.

start by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
