Baccarat Principles

Baccarat is wagered on with 8 decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards under 10 are worth their printed number while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The total for every hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For instance, a hand of five and six has a total of one (5 plus 6 equals 11; ignore the 1st ‘1′).

A additional card may be given out based on the rules below:

- If the gambler or banker gets a total of 8 or nine, both players hold.

- If the player has less than five, she takes a card. Players otherwise stay.

- If the player stays, the banker takes a card on five or lower. If the gambler hits, a table is employed to decide if the house stays or hits.

Punto Banco Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the bank pay out 19:20 (even money less a five percent rake. The Rake is recorded and cleared out once you quit the table so ensure you still have funds left over just before you quit). Winning wagers on the gambler pays out at 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie typically pays out at 8 to 1 but occasionally nine to one. (This is a poor wager as ties occur lower than 1 in every 10 hands. Avoid putting money on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9:1 versus 8:1)

Gambled on correctly baccarat chemin de fer gives fairly decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Banque Course of Action

As with all games baccarat banque has quite a few accepted misconceptions. One of which is the same as a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not an indicator of future outcomes. Tracking previous outcomes on a page of paper is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our paper desires.

The most accepted and probably the most favorable strategy is the 1-3-2-6 plan. This method is used to maximize earnings and minimizing losses.

Start by betting one unit. If you win, add another to the two on the table for a grand total of 3 chips on the second bet. If you win you will now have six on the table, pull off 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd round. Should you succeed on the third round, add two on the four on the game table for a total of six on the fourth round.

Should you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st round followed by a loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the initial 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a take of two. And wins on the 1st 3 with a hit on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning at all four rounds leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means you will be able to lose the second bet five times for every successful streak of 4 rounds and in the end, are even.
